As an Engineering Manager, you will be managing the employees of the Engineering department and taking care of leading the department and realising long-term projects, in order to realise the projects according to schedule and agreements and to realise a well-functioning department.

This is a freelancing project for a duration of 6 months.

Your new role

• Manage a team of 24 engineers (process, project, mechanical, automation, validation), covering a broad range of technical competencies.
• Ensure effective stakeholder management, particularly with the Head of Production, VP Quality and VP IT.
• Your role is to secure project execution according to budget, compliance and timeline.
• You are responsible for the allocation of your staff towards the project portfolio and identify needs for external hiring.
• Drive the personal and professional development of team members
• You are responsible for setting up a supply and demand model for staff and maintaining it across the year.
• You play a key role in evaluating opportunities for improvement.
• You are a key player in the business case, drafting and guiding / advising the organisation to make the best decisions in engineering strategy development and execution.
• Responsible for the assurance and promotion of expertise and appropriate competences of employees of the department
• Managing quality areas Process Validation, Cleaning Validation and Periodic ReQualification on top of the general field of process engineering

This is a freelancing project that will run for 6 months through Hays. It is with the intention that the assignment will finish at the end of the 6-month duration. In this position, you will get a competitive salary and your travel expenses are covered.
