About Solaq International :

Solaq’s mission is to offer a sustainable solution to help fight this growing crisis, by creating a new, sustainable source of water security, anywhere in the world. To do this, we are developing Air-to-Water technology to make use of the enormous untapped potential of water in the air surrounding us. Harnessing the power of the sun, our system extracts the water in the air to deliver pure drinking water, without the need for any existing infrastructure or grid connection and without producing ány waste products.

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Engineer to join our team in the development of our Air-to-Water technology. As an Engineer at Solaq International, you will play a critical role in designing, testing, and improving our systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead development of regeneration subsystem (integrated thermal design, vacuum distillation, process engineering)
Collaborate with partners and industry experts to co-develop high quality engineering solutions
Support in the in-house design and development of our integrated Air-to-Water technology, provide technical expertise and support for production and maintenance
Conduct research, experiments, and testing to enhance the efficiency and performance of our technology
Collaborate in strategic planning for our technology roadmap

Qualifications :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field

Strong background in mechanical engineering, process engineering, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, or a related discipline - it is important to have a broad general knowledge of different engineering disciplines, knowledge of electrical engineering is a plus

Experience in design and development of innovative technology solutions

Hands-on experience in prototyping, testing and managing build activities

Proficiency with software such as computer-aided design (CAD) software (SolidWorks), Python, ASPEN, DWSIM

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Passion for sustainability and environmental impact reduction

Important : a proactive and self-motivated approach to work - we are looking for highly driven and motivated individuals, that can take initiative and work independently, as well as in a team environment

Willing to work flexible hours, mostly at our office in Amsterdam
