Your Tasks

The primary goal of this internship is to develop evaluate and refine methods for the registration (alignment) of visible and thermal images. This is a critical task in multimodal computer vision applications such as surveillance search and rescue and other security related fields.

• Acquire or work with a provided dataset of visiblethermal image pairs;
• Split the dataset into training validation and testing subsets;
• Implement a baseline method for image registration;
• Develop (or implement) and train a imageregistration model;
• Compare the performance of your model with available methods (if any);
• Use relevant metrics and visual inspection to assess the quality of the aligned images;
• Analyze the results and discuss the challenges and limitations encountered.
• Summarize your findings in a detailed report;
